A Legacy of Handling Work Injury Claims
Before his recent passing, attorney Bernard Poliner recovered millions of dollars in compensation for injured workers in Connecticut. Mr. Poliner was a member of the legal advisory committee to the chairman of the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission, served on the Executive Committee of Workers' Compensation of Connecticut Bar Association and was a member of the Standing Committee for certification to specialize in the field of workers' compensation. Mr. Poliner was also chairman of the medical-legal committee for the Workers' Compensation Executive Committee.
Attorney Poliner successfully defended a workers' compensation claim involving a jurisdictional dispute that was ultimately decided by the Connecticut Supreme Court. The case, Castro v. Viera, 207 Conn. 420 (1988) has been cited often by the Connecticut Supreme Court.
